I am, however, worried for him going to the US. He has never experienced racism. And with the current political climate, this is a very mixed day for me.

He is not seeing this here – I am trying to remain very positive with him and hoping for the best. His teammates should look out for him.

He has worked so hard for all these accomplishments! And he is an Olympic hopeful. He truly is a prodigy. So strange to see the tiny little boy I knew grow up to be this accomplished young man!
