Did the process of getting your PhD require you to speak to even one home-owning American at any point ever?

Are home owners somehow incentivized to oppose publicly owned housing? I'm asking as someone who has owned the last three homes I've lived in but who still wants to end "housing as investment".
Yes, obviously. In fact, everyone is. Suddenly taking away almost all the wealth from a majority of Americans would make the Great Depression look like a slow Tuesday on Wall Street. If you really have to ask a question like that, I'd suggest you start reading/learning more and lecturing less.
Interesting point. Do you think that the resulting improvements to society that come when you start making decisions about your community that are rooted in things like desirable living conditions and accommodations for convenience and accessibility will improve lives enough to compensate for
alleged loss of wealth? Particularly given the fact that the real people losing wealth will be owners of Blackrock and other massive companies, and landlords, rather than individual home owners who won't lose their homes.
Are you getting a PhD in asking irrelevant ideologically-blinkered questions?
No I'm just a lowly bachelor's degree holder.
