Due to the sheer number of detainees, some individuals were confined to a 72-person room, where the process was delayed. Pens and paper were not provided. On the 4th day of detention, while filling out paperwork, Mr. A secretly grabbed a pen and paper and began writing in his detention log. 13/X

On the third day of detention, barely holding on, the ICE interview finally began. First, ICE agents handed out "voluntary departure papers" and asked them to sign them. Many detainees, despite feeling uneasy about the document, which was filled with the word "illegal," signed it anyway. 14/X
