1. Immigrants were being exploited. 2. American workers don’t want those jobs. 3. American workers never did want those jobs. 4. American workers never will want those jobs. 5. Anyone who didn’t see the built-in problem with removing the immigrant workers was blind, blinkered & bewildered.
Absolutely to what you said except- once it hits crisis level they’ll have an excuse to force inmates and other “undesirables” to work (exploit). Maybe work release for immigrants from our government sponsored concentration camps, where now they’ll make pennies to do the same work.
This isn’t going to make them reverse their policies, it is just going to give them new ways to be terrible. :(
Nothing will make them change their policies as long as they’re in office. They’ve got a taste of power & they’ll not give it up.
