@romanpiso.bsky.social I’m reading Caesar’s Messiah and am fascinated with it. I came across this Reddit and was curious how you would respond. www.reddit.com/r/ChristianA...

I recommend 2 books written to help those who are not scholars to understand how & why Christianity was created during a time of war; my book 'Piso Christ' & 'Creating Christianity' by Henry Davis. Abelard Reuchlin's 'The True Authorship of the New Testament' is also good, but condensed & scholarly.

Erhman is WAY off! First off, he hasn't learned the new forensic methodology for ancient studies. The correct methodology must be used or the study of history & religion will give us incorrect conclusions. Erhman is "entertaining", as so many others are. But, if you are looking to learn what really happened and be shown how we can tell that, then you need something better than that. The truth is that Ehrman never did even a portion of the work I have, nor as carefully or for as long (I was a child).

I do not recommend Joseph Atwill's book/s. The only parts in them that are correct are those he got from me. Long before he wrote his book he asked me to teach him what I knew of the subject & I sent him papers on key aspects of my work, but he only learned & used some, leaving out important parts.

hmmm... well I'm finding it a fascinating take on the NT, whether true or not. It's giving me all kinds of things to ponder on. I will be getting Piso Christ next. It wasn't in stock at the time so I started with this one.

Good. Just so you know, ALL of my work is free to everyone if one wishes to download it. However, my book 'Piso Christ' can be ordered in regular book form at a price that is as low as possible in order to cover printing & other costs. Used copies can also be found online. You should learn a lot! 👍😀

I just checked my local book store again this morning and they've got it back in stock. I ordered a copy and it should arrive in 5-10 days!

How is it? I am on a big Roman Empire/Holy Land kick of late. In fact, I can't seem to muster much for contemporary fiction these days, which bums me out because wow, would I like some escapism.
