Except it’s so not edgy- go to any state or city subreddit and look at the responses to anyone inquiring about moving there.. “don’t come here, we’re full” will be found multiple times in the comments. Doesn’t matter where.

Oh, I know! I find their disregard for any both the truth and the effects of their words grotesque —but what I said was too blithe. I want to call it out as that though—just attention-seeking. They BELIEVE this trolling makes them cool but it’s merely weenies saying repulsive shit for attention.

It is attention seeking and seeking to be controversial, while also being a very uninspired, lazy take. I’m in NC, and because we are growing quite rapidly, I read it all the time- and mostly from ppl who hate “Yankees” aka democrats.

But the reason we are growing is bc the NCGOP has made our state a haven for big businesses to pay little to no taxes and exploit workers. Meanwhile I’m born raised here, but my dad moved here from Albany and met my mom, so I wouldn’t exist w/o Yankee transplants 😊
