American journalists are not public servants. They're there to make a buck any way they can. And if that way involves producing and peddling disinformation, propaganda, to support conservative, right wing, Republican fascism, that's what they'll do. In a heartbeat. Not even an issue.

3/ and it was still summer vacation season. There's no decision to mislead about what happened at a court hearing for which understanding of the relevant legal issues is necessary to reporting accurately, and that the reporter doesn't have. The story was corrected quickly.
