It's terrifying that Trump first revealed he doesn't understand how percentages work weeks and weeks ago and it was a significant news story across the country, yet not a single person who works for him had the wherewithal or the courage or the freedom to correct him in a way that he could even hear
Maybe the 25th amendment process starts with Trump repeatedly forgetting Just Dance Vance’s name before the VO seizes that moment to save Merica. And then the billionaires rejoiced their bought and paid for bet paid off!
That’s how you deal with Alzheimer’s patients; waste of time trying to correct them. They’ll soon be staging phony press conferences, speeches etc. so he can play Dictator & feel important. Then they’ll shove him on to the nearest golf course!
I have to wonder if anyone even bothered to try. And the fact that our so-called journalists in the WH Press Corp never once asked him about it is the epitome of failing at their jobs. (I'm having trouble suppressing my rage at the media today.)

IMO it’s not that he doesn’t hear - rather it’s that he doesn’t listen and moreover he is NOT interested in any narrative that collides with the narrative he’s crafted
He probably confuses increases and cuts. You’re right the fact that no one told him is terrifying, or maybe worse, he decided his math is the best math.
