Trump hates them because they have black mayors and he has been a full fledged racist since he came out of his worthless mommy's womb.

Boycott @washingtonpost.com
I’d add that the first mention of ANY DATA AT ALL—with the bad news given in numbers (they give total deaths) but the good news buried in a link—comes in paragraph TWENTY-ONE. After quoting Trump three times abt how bad crime is (transcribing falsehoods), and after five ads and two photos. Buried.
Every reporter knows this, too.
This is absolutely disgraceful, @washingtonpost.com. This isn’t covering the news of Trump’s plans. This is promoting them.
The author is on this website. You should engage with him!
Whom might it be? [cracks knuckles]
No snitch tagging! I see who it is, but figure this angry post isn’t the one for starting off productive engagement. Even the paragraph ordering and the other sorts of calls may be more editor-driven anyway. But this post isn’t one for staring a convo.
I guess if it was an editorial decision, the author has the option to say so, & perhaps even provide the draft as originally written, or at least say they put the stats, using rates, in the top paragraph, etc. I've certainly seen reporters disavow headlines on their articles.
No worries! I found him on my own! And I don’t usually do snitch-tagging, I’m prefer to start an original post at them or respond to their post rather than bring them into another conversation.
These absolute idiots thinking that sucking Trump's balls is going to stop him from destroying them when he feels like it

Why are you expecting a tabloid to adhere to any particular journalistic standards?
Which is why I canceled my subscription to the Bezos Post months ago.
Everyone join me and cancel your subscription to @washingtonpost.com I haven't looked back in over a year. If I want fiction fed to me as news I can look it up on fanfiction.net.
Stop reading and sharing State Media.
Top 5 homicide rates among pop centers w 1+ million residents: usafacts.org/articles/whi... Memphis, Tennessee (Shelby County) St. Louis, Missouri (St. Louis city) Baltimore, Maryland (Baltimore city) Washington, DC, (District of Columbia, DC) Birmingham, Alabama (Jefferson County)
Good point, math literacy counts (forgive the pun).
Not just down, but down to 1960s levels.
Baltimore is “so so far gone” that it has experienced historic drops in crime. This is creation of an alternative universe
Better not to amplify this zombie paper with a hugely reduced subscribership.
I guess I'm not that upset when a collaborator collaborates. Unsubscribe and move on.
Why I canceled New York Times and Washington Post subscriptions.
State media
50 % in 4 years is amazing! Good for Chicago! But the WP which I stopped subscribing to long ago, adjusts the focus of the article to what the GOP want. Effing Lapdogs.
But why get upset about it? We all know - or should - by now that anything that comes out of his mouth, anywhere, at anytime is 'malpractice'. It's horseshit. Actually, worse than. At least 🐎💩is fertiliser. Nothing he says makes any sense to any normal person. So, why so shocked? Quit giving him O2.
seems like WP not even performing the basics of journalism at this point? adding zero context feels like malpractice. or intentional. both are v bad.
Like DC and many other major cities it had a spike in homicide and other violent crime during the previous Trump administration, though rates came down under Biden.
They know what they’re doing. The malpractice is intentional.
WHO WAS PRESIDENT WHEN CRIME WENT UP FOR THE 1ST TIME IN 30 YEARS?! Why is that never deemed relevant?
"Democracy Dies in Obfuscation"
@washingtonpost.com is complicit in aiding a coup
My NYC relatives with grown children traveling in Europe had to remind them that not every city is as safe as New York
Not to mention referring to the ongoing pandemic in the past tense. Did the administration write this?
“Chicago has the most murders in the country” is just a different way to say “New York and Los Angeles are very safe.”
This kind of crap is exactly why I dropped my subscription. Once at the top, the WP now cowers at the bottom.
I don't think you could save the Washington Post even if Bezos sold it. It's too far gone.
Incidents per 100k of population is the standard metric, and there's no way the reporter doesn't know this.
Do you expect different from the Bezos Bugle? That “newspaper” has zero legitimacy as a source of information and we have to stop validating it as though it does.
Holy crap, we noticed there’s a trend that cities with the most people in them tend to have the most murders. Who could have predicted that?
The Washington Post is a literal tabloid rag that's worse than what's in the grocery store checkout lanes
You’re wasting your breath. Bezos turned WaPo into the Fox print edition. You’re treating it like real journalism.
also the "spike during the pandemic years" refers to how crime went down across the board in 2020 and went back to normal in 2021 and after
