When the system benefited only a few apparatchiks on the top, but not the masses. Victor Orban in Hungary updated this and calls it iliberal democracy. Trump is a huge fan.
Actions done by Trumps administration having a resemblance to the actions of countries that called themselves communist does not make Trump or his administration communist. Not to mention Communism itself has no inherent connection with any of this type of behavior.

No they weren't. There's never been an communist country. Just ones that have called themselves communist. If it's not stateless, classless and moneyless, it's literally not communism. I can call myself a dog lover but If I viciously kick every dog I ever see am I actually a dog lover?
