Almost looks like Shiprock.

Such a stunning view π€©!
Amazing photos. Captures so many things - a long road, blue sky, arid land, a mountain and fencing.
Beautiful photo
thank you
Thank you for the beautiful image.
Wonderful shot!π©΅
The towering rock formation stands out beautifully against the expansive sky, with the layered clouds adding depth and drama. The winding road leads the viewer's eye through the composition, while the warm tones of the desert foreground create a striking contrast with the cool blues above. ππ
thank you, this is what i saw, and your description are eloquent words put to that feeling that day . . .
Looks to me like it would be the remains of a volcano's caldera, with the basaltic walls having eroded away, leaving the harder granite remnants of the slowly solidified former magma chambers. We have them along the east coast, Mount Warning, where you first see the Sun rise on new year one of them.
Wow, epic shot πππΌ
thank you
No worries, my friend πππΌ
wonderful image
Agathla Peak. One of the sky pillars. Pops up in many landscape shots from Monument Valley vicinity. Nice capture.
from our drive in to the Valley thanks
Excellent capture!
Actually, a volcanic cone
Looks kind of like a great big tree stump.
Even cooler is its story. It is a volcanic neck. The remnant pipe that fed an ancient, long eroded cinder cone.
yes!!
I was there a couple years ago. Took some photos, but the light was not good.
Wonderful shot.
I believe Agathla Peak is the conduit of an extinct volcano.
