Since I have known I'm dyspraxic and most probably have ADHD, I have understood my parents and siblings a lot more ...
Yeah, weird how it all falls into place decades after it would have been really bloody useful
Don't forget your mum had autism
Apple. Tree. Our granddaughter’s mother has an adult ADHD diagnosis, our granddaughter has some definite characteristics (sometimes hard to tell from just being 6 😂❤️) and I’m “married to the whirlwind” 🤷♂️😂❤️ Love them all ❤️
You sure it's not Tylenol? Really sure? I'm pretty damn sure it's not Tylenol. RFK the lesser is a stupid twat
I have AuDHD because I inherited the autism from my father and ADHD from my mother. Generics are a thing.
I haaaaate the language used in all the coverage i can find on this because i dont see this as a psychiatric illness or disorder but i do believe the general theory is correct. My entire inner social circle is neurodiverse www.statnews.com/2016/02/25/m...
Mine too and it’s been a real eye-opener watching all our kids get diagnosed!!
My kids➡️Me➡️Mom➡️Grandpa Can't say for sure about Great-grandma but she was diagnosed diabetic in the 1940s and happily ate basically the same few foods for the next 50 years to keep it under control Also happens to be where all the accounting/treasurer brains in the family started...
So many stories and memories of Grandpa made a lot more sense once I figured that all out
And Trump is at the end of the speculum.
Yup.
My aged mother has dyscalculia. I have dyscalculia. Mine appears to be worse. I try to avoid numbers as they can inspire panic attacks.
I have dyscalculia too, literally cant count
Can’t do basic math. Immediately forget everything. Count on fingers. Numbers distant mystery. Can do history theory though!
Cant tell my left from my right, no sense of distance or direction, and cant estimate prices etc. Can write, very good in an emergency
What about music? Is it enjoyable? Can you feel the beat?
Music is something I feel rather than hear. I love gigs, discos, places where the music is so loud it is the only sensory input
Used to have L and R written on hands learning to drive. Still find myself holding up hands having to think about it. Sense of direction fine. Can frustrate passengers. “We don’t need the map I know that way is East.”
I have a bloody great scar down my right arm and still use that to check L and R.
It's weird that I'm terrible at maths but I have an unusually vivid memory for dates; I associate them with events, or just picture them as images of what things looked like in that year
I am not great with dates but I am really good with sequences
Last week I went around my dad's house to help him clear his unopened letters and do life admin. Sitting amongst a pile of unopened bills and not managing to finish a single conversational point, he throws in 'I don't know what I did for you to end up taking that adhd medication' 😂
A mystery, an enigma
I’m impressed you could trace it back that far. I don’t even know if one of my grandparents had it, let alone great grandparents. But I definitely got it from my dad. His brother is also autistic.
