First bird of my day: a pair of wood pigeons gently preening each other while balancing on the wire in the warm morning light. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours

First bird of my day: a male blackbird on the garden fence, barely visible in the first light of dawn, breaking the silence with the first notes of the dawn chorus. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Blackbird FBOMD arriving across my vision watching for the house sparrows to appear. Comprehended not too distinctly as a woosh! But experience told me it is only blackbirds fly so fast over the hedge, turning into the gap between the houses. π
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: a scruffy looking pair of Blue Tits grabbing sunflower hearts & retreating to the shade of the hedge.
Blackbird family vocal in the garden, a Starling flying past. A sea fret here but already burning off.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Backyard American robin (not Elton this time)
The garden robin arrived about a minute before the blackbird this morning, both on the fence in early morning sunshine. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
A great tit followed by an abundance of bluetits. Looking out of the window is like being at tropical world with both these colourful species filling the air as they flit about in their own small world. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
A sparra pecking away on the back grass. π #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day: a Tawny owl calling in the early hours of the morning and later a mix of Swifts and House Martins hoovering up insects over the garden. #Firstbirdofmyday
The House Sparrows in the garden chartering away. Great that there has been lots of breeding this year ππ£π£π£
It absolutely chucked it down last night - luckily todayβs a bit better but it took a while for the Swifts to get going! In the meantime, the #FirstBirdOfMyDay was the Great Tit family at the peanut feeder π»
First bird of my day... wrens calling outside my window... and then.... coming in through the window to collect spiders' webs for their nest. I sat frozen to the spot, coffee in hand with a huge smile on my face...magical! (Also i am never dusting my window frames again π ) ##FirstBirdOfMyDay
Ooh! I was looking for an excuse not to dust! π
I don't feel the need for an excuse ... π

How wonderful
Mine was a blackbird with a beak full of, what looked like, nesting material #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
My camellias are blooming and a little wattlebird was making the most of the pretty white flowers until it spotted next doorβs much showier pink camellia - it flew right past me cocking its snoot on the way Iβm sure #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
