First bird of my day: the sound of swifts, like a chime of bells, ringing in my sleeping ears, pulling me awake. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours

First bird of my day: an adult woodpigeon being followed round by a juvenile who was begging to be fed. The adult was having none of it and flew off, leaving the juvenile to explore the garden alone. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
This morning it was Blyth's Hornbill. Wingbeats as loud as a Swan's.
Steel-blue Flycatcher. Not just my first of the day, my first ever!
Wonderful!
Nil birds when peeping out of the porch. Stepped out ... FBOMD lone herring gull flyover, 3 pairs of jackdaws, 1 pair wood pigeons each closely perched ❤️ roofs our side of the street. Next, flocks of starlings in flight with 3 goldfinches bouncing across their flight path ... and breathe! 😆
The extra effort of stepping outside was worth it. 😄
Oh yes! As soon as I got to have a clear view of the neighbouring houses on our side down the road, it was a challenge to compute the numbers of birds in view and survey their current behaviours. How much the jackdaw and wood pigeon pairs appreciate their mate's presence in silence early on!! 🐦🐦🔇😄
#FirstBirdOfMyDay herring gulls calling over the rooftops in Plymouth telling me Im by the sea so get up.
Great Tits on the feeders. Warm and humid here.
Swifts and housemartins, then a c.12-part flight formation of swifts, which came and went in a second or two. Amazing!
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: American robins again, doing robin things. #WhatsYours
A female blackbird on the low hedge looking over the horse field. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Swallows filling the sky with their graceful manoeuvres as they seek sustenance. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
A crow, crawing loudly way, way too early; and again just now. Otherwise zilch. #FirstBirdofMyDay
Blue tits chattering to each other in the very overgrown bushes in my garden. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day: better late than never was a young Robin hopping around the picnic bench on a muggy morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
Snap! The weather’s not been the sunniest recently so many of them have been off somewhere else but they’re back again in force today 😺 #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Kookaburras loudly heralding the break of day here. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
