First bird of my day: a jet black crow crossing the clear blue sky as I opened the bedroom curtains. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Twenty paces to the Lagoon: Black Noddies flying low.
Rooftops, and the clear sky above them, with no birds at 5.35am excepting one silent woodpigeon stood on the round ridge tiles of a pitched roof looking away from me.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: a very alarmed Robin, Red breast bobbing; sitting on the fence, in amongst the honeysuckle, shouting its alarm call for all to hear

A garden Robin. A beautiful morning here.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Northern cardinal, breaking the American robin streak.
Good to hear that the cardinals are about! 😃
A wren, not seen for a while, exploring around the bases of a group of flower pots in the shady corner of the patio, then taking to flight as I opened the doors. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Reprimanded by a clucking blackbird for sneezing loudly by the backyard moth trap. No hirundines here #FirstBirdofMyDay
Mine was house martins too twittering to each other as they whizzed overhead. They do sound friendly don’t they. Filling up on insects before heading off for the winter soon. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day: a male Bullfinch flying along the roadside on my way to work on a misty, cool morning before the heat builds. #Firstbirdofmyday

The unmistakable "tick tick" human monitor warning sound from a robbin in the churchyard bushes, alerting everyone about me passing through the area... Not seen or heard any Robbins for a while, they must be keeping low. #firstbirdofmtday

The garden magpie perched on an elm branch and carolling madly as I walked outside. A few seconds later another one appeared and followed me up the garden path. I think they were hoping for scraps - not today my beauties! #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
