Oz Darter, high in the sky, very distinctive.
Carrion crow perched in the crown of a tree, remaining until a jackdaw approached in level flight - with a faint echo of previous jackdaw and crow rivalries I've observed hereabouts during 2025!
A garden Robin. Warm, dry, but showers expected here.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay a wood pigeon waddling across the wet lawn 😊

Haha! Snap!
😊
A slightly damp morning being enjoyed by the garden birds with lots of flitting about between lawn, feeders and hedges. Tree sparrows, bluetits, great tits and a robin all spied. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Outside the log cabin window. A wren flies away, a winged brown bullet. Joined later by a robin singing and a blackbird chucking. FirstBirdofMyDay
A twite that looked like a song thrush crossed with a sparrow, its speckled breast was so vivid. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #uist
House martins. Some flying confidently, others flittery fluttery and uncertain. All twittery. Parents encouraging the youngsters to get the hang of it before the long haul of migration. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day: a Dunnock exploring the foot of the hedgerow on a bright, calm morning after a little light rain. #Firstbirdofmyday
A pied currawong at the birdbath drinking its fill, feathers ruffled and blowing in the wind. I stood watching at the kitchen window then wished I hadn’t as it promptly regurgitated a couple of pellets of undigested seeds etc. onto the edge of the bath! #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
Aww, it left a present for you! 😵💫
Mostly lillypilly seeds from the colour😆
