First bird of my day: the very loud sparrow gang strategising about how to navigate the night’s rain perhaps. Currently I can ink see bits of them, scampering in and out of the bushes. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours

First bird of my day: a male blackbird in the branches of the neighbour's front garden. He flew off as I approached the window. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
I'm sitting in the garden of my new home watching about forty house martins circling just above. I'm so happy to have them here,as they disappeared from my previous home when the local farm was converted into housing.
Snap on the Blackbird
Possibly a Robin, before the 195 Little Egrets!
Initially, one, then two, then a total of ten jackdaws FBsOMD. The first pair were partially hidden in the join between a projecting gable and a main roof & the second initially looked to be a smudge. 8 jackdaws on the adjacent roof. All silent.
They're up to something. 😁
Yes, I was intrigued why the pair were walking on the intersection roof tiles and, maybe, were out of the line of sight of the other four pairs nearby! With a 🚂🚃🚃 to catch ⏳️, unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to observe their behaviour at greater length.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: on the feeder - a young Greenfinch just beginning to get his adult colouration. Hints of bright yellow matching today’s sunshine
Blackbirds and Woodpigeon. A fine morning here.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay The young blackbird and the wood pigeon arrive in the garden at the same time. Blackbird digging for worms, and the pigeon is nibbling away at the courgettes 😊

#FirstBirdOfMyDay: American robin, finally. Was beginning to wonder where all the birds were hiding.
A chaffinch perched in the rowan tree. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Lying in bed back home trying to summon up the energy to check moth traps, a couple of jackdaws jecking in the distance. #firstbirdoftheday
First bird of my day: a Goldfinch perched on the feeder and many Wood Pigeons perched on the telephone wires. #Firstbirdofmyday
I can hear the magpies that live in the tree behind my garden having a lovely shout. They like to yell at us because we stopped putting food out (the seagulls got too aggressive!)
3 ravens in sharp relief against the blue sky and fluffy clouds. Freezing weather but they’re cruising in wide circles on the thermals over the train line as though it were a summer’s day. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
