well again, I can't read the article - but I clearly remember reading 'at the time' about the 1 hour lag time.

I’m open to correction, but I really believe you are misremembering. I believe initial reports did not even make it clear that the police had arrived before the Hortmans were killed, and when that particular info was revealed a few days later, it was presented as though they entered shortly after

Yes, and police said they used a drone to scan through a window to view/identify Rep. Hortman. They weren't even up to the house, apparently? In an hour's time, even if you guessed (guessed!) that the gunman was inside wouldn't the house and perimeter be saturated with law enforcement?
