Washington State ferries (which sails many of the same waters) remains publicly owned, and will be building its new ferries in-state using union labour. So yes, it can be done.

Not the province of BC. It was the BCFerry Corp its self. The BC govt, BCLiberals ( free enterprise coalition ie:old Socred Party) in 2003 divested govt interest of the ferries. Been a disaster ever since. #cdnpoli #bcpoli
