Garland WASN’T a democrat. He republicaned his position very well in the end. I think we can all agree on this.

Should be clear we disagree. In the end that’s another win for Republicans, but that’s not because of Merrick Garland’s work sabotaged by a captured SCOTUS or political position. The rightwing *loves* to exploit wedge issues to divide and conquer their opponents.

Had Merrick Garland not slow-walked.every.single.aspect. of the dr^mpf investigation, we might have a different president at this moment. Garland was a champ for the Rs. And we’ve lost our country. He was materially involved. He did his part. We’re all f^cked.

Garland was set up to lose on every dust spec of technicality. By DoJ timing, the record-setting scope of the crimes raced through the department. If SCOTUS had appropriately treated the cases as emergencies (Nixon/Watergate precedent), both cases would have been tried before presidential primaries.
