I think that was meant for me 🤭
I think that was meant for me 🤭
i snorted when you liked that! STAHP XDDD
You do you my friend. 🤫🤭
if this is divine permission to burst into flame right up above the knees i will happily remove myself from the perils of living in 3d
Lol. 1st of all, I'm not divine. I'm the sole Christian living in my atheist/agnostic family. But they are better Christians than I. I believe the 10 commandments are pointless. Jesus said "love your neighbor as yourself". If you love your neighbor as yourself, you have no need of 10 commandments.
2nd, he said "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." If you take my Healthcare to give the rich a tax break, or invade my land d/t to a sense of entitlement, then I've the right to go after you with all i have. Bcuz that is what I would expect someone to do to me, if i did that to them.
well. this is hairy, youre actually saying others should be able to seek vengeance against you if your actions deprive their material conditions. the rest is legalese. you would rather other people were forgiving, thoughtful, and just so that no one needed vengeance or violence
No. What I am saying is that if you take away my Healthcare to enrich the alteady rich, I will fight back on that within the law. Bcuz people I know will die, and that I cannot look away from.
im agreeing with you but we are both wrong, the material world doesn't matter as much as forgiveness. however, like you, the messages in my heart say i could die/fight for someone else and be in the right but only if im careful not to be doing it for myself
unfortunately the whole thing becomes circular until someone decides to step outside that cycle and say, "you know what, if someone came to me and proved i had killed their grandmother because i wanted a couple extra bucks, i hope they wouldn't immediately declare blood feud"
If you invade my land, yes, I will fight for that. When the fighting is over, that's the hard part-where turning the other cheek becomes necessary. That's where no revenge comes into play. It was done in WW2 and can be done again.
so you would actually end up, with a lot of extra math, either choosing to be forgiving to others or just to yourself. since this law works both ways (as so many in the REAL world do) this would result in the same world we are living in now where no one is willing to be the doormat
and frankly, it isn't consistent with what He said but is kind of the place i find myself because i would like to think others would fight for my rights if they saw the situation getting this bad... which is a roundabout way of not saying the exact truth in favor of saying
I can only say, Jesus never said "Be a doormat." He wasn't a doormat when he attacked the merchants at the temple in Jerusalem.
it is far better to find your life on the line for someone else than to hope you were right when you decided your well being is more important than someone else's... when you get to that very last weigh station on life's long highway
it aint easy. half the time makes me think we might actually be nearing the end. half the time.
I'm with you on that. But then that old hope comes creeping up. 😊
