I mean, to his credit, Hitler did boost Germany's economy and fortunes ... for a brief time. So it's just bonkers that Trump came right out of the gate going "fuck all of you, and die in a ditch".

Hitler was smart enough to understand that he only could do things if people allowed him so keeping the majority happy was a good idea. The best thing about trump and his cronies is that they are flat out stupid. If someone actually intelligent had taken over things would be even worse.

Trump even tried it in his first term! Much of what he's doing differently in this term is reaction against being held back by traditional Republicans in the first term, so he pushed them out and replaced them!
