Worse yet, Lieberman won and was the last hold out among Dems against the ACA public option, ostensibly because he didn't like some of the people who were for it.

Yeah, literally Joe Lieberman is why there wasn't a public option. He literally would not go for it, so they had to strip it out to get his vote. Even tho it was an option, the private insurers were still gonna get govt subsidies, it was a no go for him.

When ppl yell about how us millennials (Not speaking for all, just me) don't trust the Dems, the fact that we nominated him for VPOTUS in 2000 and in 2008 he was actively working with the GOP to sabotage stuff..... the first election most of us remember was 2000, the first some voted was 2008, so...

I've waffled back and forth. I'm far enough left that the DNC would sabotage me if I ran, but Democrat enough the leftists would hate me. I stay as a Dem so I can influence, even minutely with my one single vote, primary elections. And I still always end up voting "blue no matter who" in general
