If they get all the benefits for their children anyway, despite having been unwilling to pay for them, why would they not get more entrenched in their point of view? We definitely need to protect children from parents' active harm, but this isn't the same thing.

I meant what I said. Rural America supported Trump and Project 2025!! They voted against their own self interest because they didn’t believe he would do this since he lied and said he knew nothing about Project 2025! So they deserve the outcome!
