It doesn't matter if any ambassador is in favour of Palantir or not. Starmer is certainly on board with them.

IMO Mandelson was actively smoothing the wheels for further US control of our defence and security, the private data of our citizens, plus increased inroads in the NHS. Those who control Labour are on board too, yes. And the next ambassador will likely be the same.
Well said. Labour has been hijacked by One Nation Conservatives & Thatcherites and Starmer is filling all the key posts with his acolytes. The wider Labour Movement and PLP need to wrestle back control before itβs too late!
A lot of the PLP are in on it. Most, in fact. Those that are more 'soft left' will put up a weak fight. The soft left always seems to cave.
Sadly youβre probably right!
I can't disagree with you. I defy anyone to disagree with that assessment. How depressing.π
That is dystopian but don't write off AI altogether, properly regulated and limited to appropriate sectors of administration it has a role to play. Albania using Al to beat corruption is a great pioneering example of appropriate use. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/s...
AI under the governments we have now will be dystopian and authoritarian. Unfortuntely we seem to be a long way from government/s under which AI could be benevolent, in my view.
I see it as a useful admin tool for a futuristic technological anarchosyndicalism. Abolition of the political clientelle system of parliamentary parties funded by wealthy donors, a council of union delegates fulfilling the role of Parliament, and central coordination by AI assisted civil servants.
Eventual abolition of vertical hierarchy can be progressed gradually over decades, gradually moving from democratic socialism to anarchosyndicalism. For starters, replace the Lords with the anarchosyndicalist style council of union delegates running parallel with parliamentary representation.
By union delegates I don't mean only trade unions, but any social group on the basis of need of representation. Maternity, disability, mental health, unemployment - unemployed people need a union to represent their needs to get back in to a fulfilling life, not just any means of survival.
What a great idea, running from Europe, straight into the arms of.... this.
