I am completely, 100% fine with snakes on land. In the water? That's a big no!

Theyβre non-poisonous, so nothing to fear. Other than the thought of them sharing the lake with you.
I have only swam in a lake once in my life.
I don't remember swimming in Lake Erie. I was 8, though. π€
Lake Erie, because of how shallow and warm it is, produces more commercial fish than the other 4 lakes combined.
Really?! Obviously, I grew up on a Great Lake, so Iβve done nothing BUT swim in lakes. Iβve swum in the Pacific, Atlantic, Caribbean and the Irish Sea. I love salt water, but love the fact that nothing in a freshwater body of water can eat me.
We have exactly one natural lake in our county (which is larger than two, nearly three states). It's just not a thing here. NOTE: I grew up and worked in Lakeside. We had that one lake (Lindo Lake). π
Growing up on a Great Lake, I always consider a lake to be a body of water I canβt see the other side of.
They are a sight to behold!
