I thought I was having to refill the fountain a lot and that there were larger urine spots in the litter box than normal but I chalked it up to Β«oh it a really hot summer Β» or me being paranoid or imagining things. They share the fountain and litter boxes so I couldnβt tell if one was the cause.
Sounds a lot like diabetes. It's very manageable. He'll do fine, I'm certain.
I have a real soft spot for those gray tabbies. This girly was with us for 12 years. π»

Yeah my parents cat Obi was diabetic and other than a few hypoglycemia scares he lived for years with it just fine

Sounds scary. That BGL is pretty high. I'm sure they can manage it. Fluids and insulin, I would think? He looks pretty alert.
That pic is not from today but he had been alert all day, eating just fine, no vomiting, which all made me think I was being paranoid and overreacting and we could visit my vet Tuesday, but Iβm glad I ordered the glucometer. Though now I wish Iβd just brought him in earlier instead of waiting.
They'll get him sorted out. Always a nightmare, though.
