most stock iOS apps, i think? like, when you navigate in the settings app — the forward animation is now trivial on the web with view transitions, but the back animation that tracks your finger position would be difficult and tedious to get right. not impossible but prohibitively labor intensive.

unless i'm mistaken, i think augmenting the system keyboard like citymapper and paprika is also not possible

citymapper on iOS, with a keyboard showing with a custom row of numbers on top of it paprika on iOS, with a row of numbers and measurements on top of the system keyboard, as well as another row of formatting options

Uh, I thought with scroll-snap working so nicely with touch, surely there must be a way to do the same with view transitions? But perhaps you’re right 🫤

Yea it should work with scroll-snap and some scroll-timeline magic. Not necessarily "easy" though.
