Trump walking away is not the worst outcome. There was always little chance that more pressure will be on russia. But US constantly doing these fake negotiations distracted europe from doing more. Trump walking away, being neutral to Ukraine will give europe the pressure needed to do more.

Putin stalling for time just delays the inevitable Russian collapse. Russia's got one more failed offensive in it before their military collapses. And that's assuming Russia's economy doesn't collapse first.
The deal with the devil Western politicians made is that somehow a Russian collapse is worse than a Ukranian one and must be avoided. It has been the source of the biggest strategic fuckup since Gallipoli.

I agree. I'm not sure about the military side, Ukraine also needs the strength for a counteroffensive. But from an economics standpoint, which I do understand, they are running on fumes. If Russia can't end the war this year they are heading for a financial collapse 100%.
The US usefulness is now limited to intelligence and arm/ammo purchase accessibility. Trump has made himself pretty irrelevant, he has become a distraction that encourages Europeans to do less than they could.
