My local ABC news station out of Norfolk VA is reporting on the downturn in tourism. Specifically mentioning Canadian tourists are down 20 percent in some areas. The cited reason was tariffs and our president calling Canada the 51st state.

We used to frequent the USA but not now. We are not impressed with the tariffs or being called his 51st State. It also just does not seem safe there when we can travel elsewhere. I don’t think your President even cares about having a good relationship with Canada anymore which is very sad.

If we make it through this horrible time, please come back and visit our wonderful NC beaches. Americans are responsible for the loss of our lovely visitors by making the same mistake twice. The only thing this president cares about is himself. Not enough of us cared enough to stop him.

Since we are older our time is limited. I’m just glad we did a lot of travel to the USA in the past. Even my friends that live down there say don’t come. Just hard for us to understand how he can get away with so much.
