That's what they did here in Louisiana. Some of the districts are now long and skinny. I ended up in Mike Johnson's district, unfortunately.

YIKES. Here's hoping his alliance with and support for a pedophile will have an impact on how voters in his mostly "Christian" district feel about him come election day.
I fully intend to help with his removal!
Good on you! I've been working to remove my own representative (Scalise), but the people who live on that side of the street (metaphorically and physically) keep re-electing him.
Lot's of maga up here that will vote for Johnson again I'm afraid. What do you think of Julia Letlow? I used to be in her district before it was gerrymandered.
She drinks the Kool-aid a bit too much for me. I'm interested to see if she gets the call to be president of LSU. It's about time LSU had a female prez, but the trend is to install those who yield to the governor, #LaLege and football fans, rather than to academic excellence and student needs.
Does a lot for her shareholder's & the good ole boys up in north district 5 but ignores those in southern part. The fact she talks about the "Big Beautiful Bill" with a giant smile on her face & a gleam in her eyes really rubs me the wrong way especially when it's going to cost others their lives😠
Yeah, she's in the cult. She's being whispered about as a candidate for Cassidy's seat. I loathe him, but she's just him with less seniority. I guess as LSU president she'd have less power than as a member of Congress. And we all remember she backed into that job after her husband died.
She would do all of us a a favor if she took the LSU job. Maybe they will offer her more money. I think they want her for Cassidy's seat because they consider her more "malleable."
She would definitely make more money at LSU. And malleable? Possibly. They're pissed at some of Cassidy's positions vis-à-vis TFG and want to primary good old boy Bill. He's also a member of the cult, but he grows a backbone from time to time. (Not often enough but sometimes.)
But, you get to vote against him, which, speaking as a person who got to vote against ted cruz as many times as I could over my time living there. I never won, but it does feel better than not voting....those people? I have less respect for them than I have for maga.
