Jack’s MBF post is very sus and the comments on his post are particularly brutal and unnecessarily mean. If anything I think Jack’s production saves some of those songs with just okay lyrics, so idk what people are shitting on him for. the rise in jack hate is something I’ll never understand
Also as a defender of synths I will never complain about a jack synth (and I don’t even listen to bleachers lol). I will however complain when Jack doesn’t push his artists to go harder in the writing room!

I agree! Of all the aspects of it I do not think Jack is the issue here. I’m actually a bit disappointed Amy Allen didn’t push sabrina harder on some of these song themes/lyrics. Don’t get me wrong I have like 3 on repeat but the rest I’m like *skip*

I think a lot of them can’t blame Taylor for anything…. And I think a lot of Jack produced songs feel very queer, they get weird in their feels about it, can’t put it on Taylor so they misdirect on Jack Just like they can’t blame her for acting like a fruit bat so they misdirect on us for noticing
That’s an interesting interpretation! nothing about sabrina’s album on the surface level would be detected as queer though by this kind of population (given they haven’t detected any before)?? I feel there’s something else (maybe less deep) going on with the Jack hate train. Maybe synth fatigue?
I want to believe it’s deeper but these people didn’t see anything queer about the alien kiss and call her the str8 person alive like Hetlors do, so I almost feel like the Jack hate is more personal to him? Idk

lol yes!! I can’t come up with another reason that actually feels logical for this influx in hate that occurs whenever he works on a pop album. And he has proven he can do literally any sub genre of pop and/or pop-adjacent (ie Maren’s album) and layer synths with other interesting instruments
