I realized as I was doing this thread that she dropped an alternate ending and replaced it in the original video (which is kind of annoying lol but I guess I like the audience engagement aspect of it). original ending: youtu.be/FHuzd5D-R0M

In the updated ending released today 9/1 she slams her fist on the porch and it elicits a lightening bolt, which just misses him. Then, her fist hits the porch again & a tree falls on him, presumably killing him. This could symbolize that the haunted home has the power to ward off bad energy. ⚡️🌳
She could also be nodding to the philosophical question “if a tree falls in the forest, but nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” it’s giving “if a person drops a queer code/hairpins but nobody around picks up on it, is that person really queer?” 🎀 🥖🍞
I tried to be chill and surface level about this but it’s impossible. To me it is a metaphor for exploring your relationship to sex/gender/sexuality, and the liberation many people feel in a safe space of queer people - whether that’s the closet, the dance floor, or in your own home.
The field/heath/farm represents the outer world or industry filled with social structures and norms that she feels confined to — or “the public” perception. The haunted house of drag represents an inner world or community that is a safe place to be yourself or discover, explore, experiment. 🕺🏾🪩🧟♀️🎃🌈
Sabrina is thrust out of the dreamy fun house (🎶House Tour🎶) back into the “real world” only to find herself dressed to conform again. From my lens this is a metaphor for feeling constrained by comphet, the patriarchy, and/or other social norms in the outer world.
If we link this video back to the song “House Tour” you might see that this metaphor is layered and about more than just foreplay… but about inviting the muse (whether A Man or the audience) to step into her inner world, see her perspective on life, or even explore the fun house together.
Alt option- if we dig into the Patriarchy of it all, Sab could be embodying “Barbie”—“my house is on pretty girl Ave, my house was especially built for you, SOME SAY it’s a place where dreams come true.” could be a commentary on how the house she’s built is not real but a response to the patriarchy
