That movie was such a crack up. John Heard and Daniel Stern did off off Broadway and that was their big break!

for some reason we rented it from a local video place when it was new, used to love dumb movies like that, Toxic Avenger and others like Amazon Women on the Moon. my dad used to rent dumb stuff and even terrible ones too, but not on purpose which made it funnier. i think he chose by title? IDK
