Now that's a clever approach. You'd need some space to start with I reckon but I like where that's going. I'd want every player to get a flick - I wonder why they are flicking? Maybe it depends on how the trick went?

You could get to flick if you win the trick? But the flicking could be set up in such a way that if you flick wrong, you might get negative points?

Or reverse it — maybe the flicks contribute to an area majority thing that determine triumph suit?

Ohh, this is a cool pitch. I like the idea of an area majority determining which suit is best. I am not entirely sure I know which part you want to reverse though. 😅 Care to elaborate/brainstorm?

Oh just inverting your formulation above — instead of trick determining how flick goes, flick determines how trick goes.
