I think we can all agree that the moral of the story is to avoid flying to Atlanta for layovers.

I 100% try to avoid Atlanta, but given that my last 2 flights into Dallas have been cancelled (crossing the hell out of my fingers that it is not a third) I am wondering which is more cursed.
There's something going on with the South.
Sure as hell looks that way.
Apparently he was delayed flying out of Albany because of something going on in the South. And apparently now he's delayed flying to Albany because of something going on in the South. 🧐
WTF? There is definitely something screwy going on.
Yeah he was heading to North Carolina from LaGuardia and a woman from the south had gotten the train up and was flying back and had a meltdown saying she was scared to fly and collapsed to the floor and had to be dragged out while trying to cling onto a chair leg. Then lots and lots of delays.
He was there to visit his mother for a sad reason but apparently that bit was easier than his actual flights.
Wow. Good lord.
Yeah, I was looking to talk to him about how he's feeling about his mother when he gets back but something tells me he's going to want to talk more about his flights. At least at first.
I can understand wanting to get the frustration out. Flying is always an adventure* *adventure in hell.
"this is the most cursed trip I've ever taken"
3 years ago when we went to disney for the twins 10th, the trip back was the absolute worst experience flying ive ever had. usually things were pretty decent. this one time... ho boy
Atlanta?
nope it was all down in florida on the way back to ny
it was an absolute shit show. I think i scared tsa
Some weird shit happening in the southern states on the East Coast.
you're not wrong there
As a local Atlien I respectfully disagree. It's quite efficient as a matter of fact (just look it up, I'm not making it up 🙂) Surely you won't judge the whole thing by one incident. 🙄
Multiple!
I had so many incidents at JFK that I could feel the same way, yet, I don't call it cursed or try to avoid it. 🤪
I wouldn't blame you if you did.
Yes, I get annoyed, yes, that's what our mind wants to do, but, if you look at stats - it's just objectively our very own bias because we were literally on the wrong flight at the wrong time. If I went any other time I'd be just fine. It's like weather, can't predict or control it.
It's just an airport. I don't care that much.
I have some crazy Atlanta Airport stories. Don't miss flying all the time at all. 🥴
So far, weird shit has happened in Atlanta. Very weird shit.
One time I ran across the airport to catch a flight and missed it. And waited to see if the last planes leaving for the night had space. The very last one did, and I sat across from a flight attendant in the very last seat of the night... ... only for a 45 min flight to take 4 hours because...
... a huge storm over central Florida. Circled and tried to land and was battered back to the Gulf. Then flew south and across the state to Ft Lauderdale. And then the pilot tried one more time, or back to ATL. We landed with wings tilted and rocking after 4am. I thought death was coming 3 times 😅
Landed in Tampa* The turbulence in gulf, attempt #1 and final landing all 3 times I was prepared to die lol. Half dramatic/half legit bad weather
Aha can't wait to fly in a few weeks
It'll be totally fine for you, though! Haha. For real. It's boring and safe, and fast. It'll be all good. :)
