So when I originally wrote this open letter to @jay.bsky.team, I was honestly giving her the benefit of the doubt. But I now see her for exactly what she is. She's Zuckerberg and Musk with a vagina. That's all. She cares more about her "girl boss" tour than #freespeech. #FREEDONKANDBRITTNEY

And honestly, I am still grateful for what BlueSky once was. But as usual, the greed and hubris and fecklessness of one (that's you @jay.bsky.team) spoils it for all. But I honestly think I'm done with the platform. It's a disgrace and I won't be propping it up any longer.
I dont know who they are so I missed out. But your post caught my eye for: "She's Zuckerberg and Musk with a vagina. " You're free to write as you feel but as a woman, it's offensive to write about our genitalia like this. I feel you could have left is as "she's just like Z and M."
I will take note of the fact this dig at @jay.bsky.team didn't land with you. And will honestly apologize to you and refrain from making it again. Not out of respect for Jay, but for you and other women I offended trying to take a swipe at Jay Graber. No respect was meant towards you.

SAME!! on both counts 😅 had my gallbladder bladder removed 3 weeks ago, and anecdotally, I feel gastro is much worse without it.

What I was aiming for was to call out how Jay is very much marketing herself as a girl boss and against patriarchy. Love it! My problem is that these are two major resistance voices right now who helped build a resistance online. It's like something Musk would do to just silence them.
And in fairness, my disdain for the situation manifested as a bad joke. I genuinely thank you for commenting so meaningfully though. 💙 I think it's important. And anyone too good to be told is not worth listening to. I know for certain I'm not too good to be told.

While banning is upsetting, the comparison is pretty extreme, too. Jay & BlueSky are nothing like those two. It'd be nice if your substack had more about the ppl you're advocating for those of us who never saw their content. I'm curious about them.
