That’s fine. I’m a “mandated reporter”. When someone suggests something that hints at abuse of any kind it’s my duty to make sure adults and especially children aren’t being abused — and to report it if necessary. This is part of a teachers, childcare, eldercare, LE training — “retired” or not.👍🏽

BTW “Mandated Reporters” across many states limit their scope to children. The State of Washington is one of the few that includes DV.⭐️🏆⭐️ I don’t do DMs, nor DV counseling, but if you’re being abused & need help I found woman MRs to connect you with wherever you are in the US. Stay safe. 👍🏽

I agree 100% BUT… I’d “freelanced it” in various roles since the 70s & MR is better Most folks outside LE, teaching, medical, etc are unaware of the issues around MR There are extensive yearly classes, legal requirements, etc DV intervention is something beat cops fear- but we’ve saved lives🏆👍🏽

Unfortunately most police departments across the USA don’t do Community Policing these days (Protect & Serve) tho Seattle, Tacoma & in particular communities on the Eastside — Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland actively use community policing strategies. Progress was being made until January 2025 😳💔😖

Yeah, that’s always been an oddly “conservative “ region. I used to have a buddy in the film biz living there who swore it wasn’t, but…🤷🏻♂️. I know folks that have explored the UK option. Be sure you understand how limited their Visa options are. A job with a UK biz might be a solid bet. Good luck!
Actually, I was thinking of trying 2 live half the yr there, so as 2 b comfortable w/healthcare at my age. There’ve been many seniors who boast living abroad, but I fear those articles r erroneous & skeptical (the authors r always getting cost of living absolutely wrong, everywhere in the States).
