Again: the VRA was "codified." Do these idiots think that "codifying" is something that gives magical no-backsies powers to SCOTUS so they don't have to worry about things being overturned or stripped away ever again?

Came here to make this point. Even if, big if, Dems had codified abortion rights some "pro-life" group would fund someone to challenge it in a selected district to ensure it rose up to a SCOTUS challenge. Outcome could be worse than Dobbs.

Exactly. Thanks to Marbury v Madison (1803) SCOTUS has the authority to overturn Congressional laws. They have done so not frequently but often enough. The insanity of the Left is now fully equal to the Right in Magical Thinking.
