Bull shit. No one is going to murder a US Senator. Especially for a vote on a nominee. It’s an excuse and Dems should stop saying it. It only serves to provide them cover for their atrocious actions.

A guy attempted to shoot and kill several congressman (almost killed the current majority leader) back in 2017. Romney has had to pay for his own family’s security because of death threats from his impeachment vote. It can be both cowardly but at the same time a serious and legit threat.

my point & don’t even come close to showing there are currently - right now - any serious or legit threats. A crank sending a threat neither makes it serious or legit. That’s not how any of this works. Even these monsters understand the gravity of assassinating a member of Congress.

Largely because those cranks are arrested or stopped before they act (one of the reasons political violence nowadays is rare). It’s what makes screw ups like the Scalise shooting and Jan 6 notable.
