People have to be forced to change. Few do it willingly. Not until they are directly affected will most of them do what needs to be done to stop this.

Sorry I’m old and cynical about humans because having lived through the 6o’s and 70’s and seeing what my generation has done to this planet, I have little hope left.
As I have said I decided on the second Earth Day (1971 age 15) “Saving the planet? Ain’t gonna happen. I guess I won’t have kids so I don’t have to apologize to them when pollution severely affects their lives.”
That was the exact reason I too decided to not reproduce. I've been talking about extinction and climate change (greenhouse effect) since I was 14 in 1970. We are on the same page.
And probably your heart like my own is stabbed yet again when idiots don’t give a crap about their grandkids only about profits. “I live each day striving to be the person my dog believes me to be.”
Yes. And I weep for our planet and all the life that depends on it. We will get what we deserve, but none of the other species did.
