Because he doesn’t really believe in anything aside from the furtherance of himself, but fascism lends itself to grifters and con men. Is he racist? Yes. Sexist? Yes. Does he have interests outside of his own wellbeing? No. Does fascism help him? Yes. He is an opportunist.

I mean, I think he’s an opportunist since birth. Fascism simply dug the grooves that his wheels found themselves in. Does he believe fully in fascist ideology? Probably most parts of it. Is he interested, specifically, in the furtherance of fascism? No. He is interested in himself. Fascism is bonus.
