So, you see it too. Thank you for your support. When less than 50% of the voters have miraculously secured 83% of the congressional seats something is amiss. The only reason to argue about this is if you like the side that is favored. That does not make it fair or right or acceptable.

Depends on the distribution, or how condensed, republicans are in each congressional district. There are almost as many independents in Cali as there are republicans. The swing vote + Dems make up almost 70% of the voters. Republicans seem to be condensed in less condensed rural areas as well.

Valid point. It is nice to see some intellect exercised. Were the districts drawn with that result in mind? For land survey purposes every state is divided into 1-mile squares. Using that, if AI created a map based solely on population, and no other considerations? Would it look the same?

AI should have no involvement with districting. It's only as good as the parameters it is asked to considder. Musk has proved how AI cannot be trusted, he has changed its parameters, (Grok), to create answers he wants it to give. This would be as bad as letting the ruling party redistrict

Can't just use land size to make up districts. Population density obsquires the population to seat ratio. That is causing unfair representation, a small population has more seats than a high density population.
