People always pipe up that it's not a big deal. It's just a five second cameo, but it's a five second cameo that the Horde didn't get, despite being VASTLY more connected to Goblins. It's just unpleasant and it pisses me off when Alliance fans trivialize it.
And on top of that, it only adds on to an expansion where our "representation" was gone for the main story arc and then where the hell did he go? Thrall hasn't been in like ANY of the actual TWW content, lmao.
I think for me the stuff with Midnight kinda re-encouraged my thoughts about it. If the Blood Elves are allowed to take pride that they're apart of the Horde, why can't the Bilgewaters at the very least? Undermined at the very least should've given a single Cartel that.
People might misconstrued that in me saying Undermined should be a Horde City. No. But having a district, that the Bilgewater own, be catered to the Horde? Absolutely. Gazlowe is a Horde Leader. Bilgewaters are apart of the Horde. Let that be a point even if minor.
Yeah, the whole part of the Cartel recruiter lady having to ensure the player that the Bilgewater of Undermine DEFINITELY AREN'T HORDE was very forced. I get it, they've been on their own outside of Horde business, so it makes sense on some level, but still. It felt forced.
We should've have had unique dialogue to the Horde about how some Goblins, like Sassy are here, happily inviting any members of the Horde to the HQ. And then have another bit of dialogue to Alliance players how not every Goblin is in the Horde.
Yeah, the lack of any of the old Goblin characters from the starting zones is a bummer in general. It's CRAZY that there wasn't a reunion with the player Goblin and their crew from Kezan. That would've been epic.
Would've been nice to have some Goblin only cutscene of the crew drifting through a crowd of Darkfuse goons and then have the scene go into slowmo as Gallywix locks eyes with the player Goblin as the PC grins and Gallywix shrieks in a rage at having this same old thorn in his side still haunt him.
Goblins from Kezan in general should've got their own unique little questline. Akin to the Baine Quest in Dragonflight or the Blood Elf Quest in Shadowlands' epilogue. I also think they should've given unique dialogues from Gallywix. But ALSO finally give them their Hotrod back in the end.
I also just think it would've been really powerful if Undermined ended with Gazlowe recruiting those who dwelled in Undermined into the Horde finally. Or getting a cameo between him and Thrall reflecting on everything.
Honestly Undermined would've been a great time for Thrall to show up and help, considered on TWW's art he did really nothing after the first story quests. Especially as a "You built and defended Orgrimmar, Gazlowe, it's only proper I protect your home city as well."
It also would've been great to have Thrall state why he left Gallywix alive and in charge of the Cartel finally. Just paying nods to Cataclysm and the Goblin Starting Zone but ALSO his friendship with Gazlowe would've been great.
My kingdom as well for Sassy to be more prevalent, she was so integral to the Goblin Starting Zone that she should be the Rexxar/Liadrin of the Bilgewater. Plus no Gob Squad, a smidgen of Hobart (and no Greely)...we got a lot of neutral Goblins, but zero Horde Goblins to back up Gazlowe?!
Undermined, to me. Should've been like "Avengers Assemble" for all Goblin Characters to do something major. I also wish we had gotten Gazlowe in his Shredder against Gallywix during their fight or in the zone. Hell, could've had Gallywix in his GMOD one last time.
Should've broken out the Robo-Goblin on Gazlowe, Its the iconic Tinker look since WC3 and its how he's repped in Heroes. Imagine Gallywix laughing in his GMOD at how puny Gaz is, and Gaz no-diffs the GMOD. "Bigger ain't always better, Gally." And thats what makes Gallywix take out the Chrome King
