The photo in my previous post was taken from the Silver Bridge in the bottom of the Grand Canyon, which connects to the Bright Angel Trail (via the River Trail). Here’s the view from the Black Bridge, which crosses the Colorado upstream, and joins the South Kaibab Trail to the North Kaibab Trail.

The view across the Thames to St Paul’s from the Tate Modern at sunset with the alpenglow always reminds me of the Grand Canyon. I wrote this about it once (as part of an interview I did about for a magazine in Arizona).
