Agreed. I worked for the Home Office for 10 years, interviewing asylum seekers and deciding whether to grant asylum. My takeaway from that is, unless there's evidence that they are a danger, then grant them. Let them in.

Am so glad you were doing that work. Often they are assumed to be lying so they are always starting from a negative. Gratifying to see people that assume people are telling the truth unless they see evidence otherwise
