Dennis Waterman at 27 looked like a modern 47 year old. Wartime rationing in childhood and a world of passive smoking. Men didn't go to the gym or have a skincare routine.
He went bald at 19 during his war service in Burma (he blamed the humidity). It’s usually one or more of smoking, no sunscreen or war service.
There's a film he did, The Secret of my Success where he plays multiple characters - and he's a Von Stroheim type where is completely bald/shaven headed with no tache, and he actually looks like his age. Honor Blackman's the same age btw. And still looks a decade younger.
I'd be interested in seeing that. I've very find memories of him from watching First Men in the Moon as a child.
Where he is IRL younger than the supposed young female lead, Martha Hyer.
Tough. Paper. Round
He looked like that throughout his entire career!
