Ariella, what have you actually done, on the ground among our Nations people & planet & governent, who are hurting six ways from Suday. Actions where when you walk down a street you know you may not make it to the end due the target on your back & yet still get up & fight to help 1 beaten kid.
You know how the media environment is fucked, right, so we often don't hear about good things people on our side are doing? You know how a lot of people feel right now like the Democrats we elect aren't doing much to help? Those things are related. When Dems do good things, we don't hear about it.
I have been an activist due to the fact I'm human & no other reason. I am sure you friend is fine. I haven't pitched a fit about what I do because it must be done. Neither have any other who do the work for those who never get a break.
Ariella has a very specific mission: to document the hundreds of ways that Democrats all across the country (from city councils all the way up to governors and the Senate) are actively fighting fascism. There is a TREMENDOUS amount of work Dems are doing, and ways they've fought Trump and won--
--that we just don't hear about, bc there's such a firehose of bad news and the media tends to want us stressed out & doesn't care if we know we're not alone. Ariella's job is to inform people and help us fight despair by reminding us of how many people on our side are using their power for good.
She's disabled and she's not always able to be out on the streets. But building morale is important. Making sure we KNOW when good work is happening and who we've elected who IS fighting by our side is important. Telling the truth is important. She's a good follow on here. Can recommend.
