Our lovely cat, adopted from a rescue a year ago, is being operated on this morning to remove an old airgun pellet from his skull. We had no idea it was there until it caused an infection last week. Very grateful for any fingers you could cross for him.

Hope all goes well. I had a cat - was shot - had 2 pellets lodged. One in her back, other, tail. (Seriously. Who does that). Vet left them. One worked its way out. Other was with her when she died. She made it to 21! Our little people are pretty resilient. Hope your little guy bounces back fast!

My brother shot my sister with a bb gun, right in the third eye! Mom told the doc she fell onto something sharp and they sewed her up. Days later she was complaining of agonizing pain so they took her back, saw the pellet had flattened against her skull, dug it out. No charges were laid.

My old next door neighbor's son shot a bb at my son's face. His father came over with a beer, I don't drink, to tell me about it before they would let me see my son. He had a good welt but thankfully it didn't break the skin. They are not my neighbors anymore. It was 15 years ago or so. My son's 30
