I don’t know if I’m losing my mind but the 2025 article says a new map is coming in 2024 and I can only find the 2014 map.
We live in mysterious times.
You're not, the website is a mess like most of the GC pages it's unreasonably hard to find what you're looking for planthardiness.gc.ca?lang=en&m=24...
That page says it was updated in 2020 so likely not the new map that article is talking about?
I thought that date might be for when the page was updated, not necessarily the map...?
The map was updated using data from 2014-2020, soooo yeahhh
*duh* of course! 🤦♀️ The "plant hardiness zone by municipality" is more helpful than the map, & there is an exp. of the hardiness index on the formula page Which makes much more sense, e.g. I'm listed at a 57, bc we're closer to 6a than 5a It's so cool how NRC is so much more indepth than USDA
I’m still in zone 1 so the fact that I grow anything is still good.
I’m ALWAYS in awe of your amazing green thumb! Maybe you could come down here next spring and give me a kick in the arse to actually get mine done. 🙄 I never seem to get finished.
That's what I'm wondering too, it looks like the updated map on the global article
I don’t even see an updated full map in the global article unless I’m supposed to wait through ads for it?
Yeah, sorry I realized that after sharing That is the newest one that's been posted, so I'm still confused too There should be a way to access it
I heard about it on CBC about a month ago, glad to see it's FINALLY updated on planthardiness.gc.ca because it hasn't been 😊
Uhhhh typo in linked file… 🫨 D is a sneaky one planthardiness.gc.ca
On my end, it looks like the original was typed correctly, but the preview was wrong. I clicked on the original link and it took me to the right sight. Seems to be a Bsky glitch of some sort.
As a general rule, Yes 🤭 That's so annoying! I'd typoed then fixed it and I guess the link didn't update 👎 Thanks!
